The world-famous night parade is one of the
best-loved events of all the Chinese New Year's celebrations in Hong Kong. Now
in its 17th year, the parade snakes around Tsim Sha Tsui in a stream of
brightly coloured floats and international / local performing artists that
turns the harbour-front area into a giant street party
To promote the 2012 Hong Kong International
Chinese New Year Parade organized by Hong Kong Tourism Board, we are pleased to
introduce 3 afternoon / evening tours for the viewing of the International
Chinese New Year Parade on the Lunar New Year's Day (Monday, 23rd
January 2012)

As is with every practice in China, there are a
number of myths associated with the use of fireworks during Chinese New Year.
Legend has it that the fireworks are set off to awaken a sleeping dragon who is
supposed to bring forth the rain for the agriculture based society. Another
belief that the noise of the firecrackers wards of evil spirits
Take the opportunity to watch the fireworks
display from a different perspective by going on a "Fireworks Display

Lam Tsuen, home of the famous wishing tress (Tai
Po, New Territories), you can enjoy a host of fun activities during Chinese New
Year week. Including the fabulous floats on display, colourful stage
performances by Shaoguan dance troupe. Other activities include make a
pilgrimage to the Tin Hau Temple, burn joss sticks and incense papers and tying
